The Partnership is committed to providing programs that advance our mission of increasing water conservation in the Central Puget Sound Region. We are currently evaluating and prioritizing programs. We differentiate between programs and services, defining programs as being activities that may or may not require a fee-for-service. Services will require a fee.

We anticipate that the prioritizing of programs will be an ongoing process that will need to be revised and refined as the Partnership evolves and conservation issues change within our program area. Our Programs & Services Committee is charged with overseeing this process.

Here is a sampling of programs we offer:

  • Organize and/or sponsor training sessions and workshops on water conservation issues
  • Hold forums throughout the region to discuss water conservation issues and bring about policy change
  • Maintain a Water Conservation Library on the website
  • Develop and implement water conservation campaigns
  • Research and establish best management practices relating to water conservation
  • Provide a bulk purchase program of water conservation items for members
  • Produce a quarterly newsletter that highlights water conservation success stories
  • Youth Education about water conservation for grades 3-12
Currently we have divided programs into four broad categories:
  • Programs Related to the Partnership Website
  • Education and Advocacy
  • Programs for the Business & Commercial Sector
  • Regional Service Coordination

The following programs are available on the website:

Conservation Data Base and Library
The Partnership maintains a website with a wealth of information on water conservation including: general information that is available and accessible other places through references or links; and specialized information that others might find helpful to develop and/or evaluate conservation programs. The latter information will be available to members only.

The Partnership encourages networking and communication between the members of its three caucuses and other interested parties.

Forums – featuring interesting speakers on water conservation topics and providing network opportunities and open channels for discussion

Quarterly Newsletter – Featuring the latest water conservation news and technologies and providing success stories from within our region

Advocacy - PWC monitors state legislation in regards to water conservation and notifies interested members about issues of interest.

The following programs are directed toward the business community:

Workshops on water conservation for business users. These could be targeted to specific industries: i.e., green industry, building industry, etc.

The Partnership has coordinated regional water conservation messaging, campaigns and products. The Partnership may become the generator of future campaigns and/or conservation implementation programs. Activities such as coordination with service and product providers and linkages to regional messaging could be elements of this program.
